"Come with me, we will escape the world and retreat into the darkest recesses of the earth amongst the other creatures of the night, at nightfall we will surface and dance to the celestial music of the stars, where no one can find us and nothing will harm us."

And the girl, perched at the center of these two forces, of light and dark, her mind swung between the two voices, like a pendulum.
